One Man, Two Guvnors checks out of West End in March 2014

The National Theatre’s hit comedy One Man, Two Guvnors has will complete its West End run on 1 March 2014, prior to a UK and Ireland tour beginning in May.
The WhatsOnStage Award-winning show, which has been seen by over one million people worldwide and will be the longest running show at the Theatre Royal Haymarket in almost 200 years, will have played almost 900 London performances when it closes.
As previously announced, Owain Arthur returns to the Theatre Royal Haymarket to lead the West End cast from 23 September 2013, taking over from Rufus Hound.
Written by Richard Bean, based on Carlo Goldoni’s A Servant of Two Masters, One Man, Two Guvnors opened at the National Theatre in May 2011 starring James Corden as the luckless Francis Henshall.
Corden won a WhatsOnStage Award and subsequently a Tony Award when the show transferred to Broadway.
Nicholas Hytner‘s production features songs by Grant Olding performed by skiffle band The Craze.
The physical comedy director is Cal McCrystal, with designs by Mark Thompson, lighting by Mark Henderson, sound design by Paul Arditti, fight direction by Kate Waters and choreography and associate direction by Adam Penford.
