Arthur Miller's The Crucible opened at the Old Vic last night starring Richard Armitage (Robin Hood, Spooks and The Hobbit) as John Proctor.
Directed by Yael Farber, The Crucible is the third play in a new season of productions which are presented in-the-round at Old Vic Theatre.

Yesterday's opening night party was attended by actors including Haydn Gwynne, Eve Best and Fiona Shaw, who celebrated with the cast at the Savoy Hotel.
