Full casting has been announced for Michael Grandage's forthcoming production of A Midsummer Night's Dream, the fourth play in his five-play season at the Noel Coward Theatre.
As previously announced the production will star three-time WhatsOnStage Award winner Sheridan Smith as Titania and David Walliams as Bottom.
The cast will also feature: Stefan Adegbola (Robin Starveling/Cobweb), Stefano Braschi (Demetrius), Pádraic Delaney (Oberon/Theseus), Richard Dempsey (Peter Quince/Moth), Henry Everett (Tom Snout/Peaseblossom), Gavin Fowler (Puck/Philostrate), Alex Large (Francis Flute/Mustardseed), Sam Swainsbury (Lysander), Craig Vye (Snug the Joiner/First Fairy) and Leo Wringer (Egeus).
Shakespeare's perennially popular comedy is a tangle of love stories.
Lysander loves Hermia and Hermia loves Lysander. Helena loves Demetrius; Demetrius used to love Helena but now loves Hermia. When Hermia's father insists she choose Demetrius as a suitor she escapes with Lysander into the surrounding forest where Oberon and Titania, the King and Queen of the Fairies are having their own battle of love.
The production follows Privates on Parade, Peter and Alice and The Cripple of Inishmaan in Grandage's starry West End season.
