A West End adaptation Mrs Henderson Presents is reportedly in the offing.

According to the Daily Telegraph, Elton John's former manager John Reid is "getting together" a production based on the 2005 film, which centred on the true story behind the notorious Windmill Theatre in the 1930s.

Mrs Henderson Presents, which starred Judi Dench, Will Young and the late Bob Hoskins, would be the latest in a long line of Brit screen-to-stage adaptations; Shakespeare in Love and Made in Dagenham both premiere later this year, while Kinky Boots, recently seen on Broadway, is rumoured to be transferring.

Lyricist Don Black, who recently reunited with Andrew Lloyd Webber on Stephen Ward, is attached to the project, which is says is still in the "early days" of development.
