Live Tweeting: #WOSOuting to The Cripple of Inishmaan, with Daniel Radcliffe Q&A

Tonight we’re heading to The Cripple of Inishmaan at the Noel Coward Theatre, followed by a Q&A with cast members including Daniel Radcliffe.

The production, which opened earlier this month (8 June) and continues until 31 August, is directed by Michael Grandage as part of his star-studded five play residency at the venue.

Martin McDonagh’s comedy examines an ordinary coming of age in extraordinary circumstances and confirms his position as one of the most original Irish voices to emerge in the second half of the 20th century.

Set on the remote island of Inishmaan off the west coast of Ireland, word arrives that a Hollywood film is being made on the neighbouring island of Inishmore. The one person who wants to be in the film more than anybody is young Cripple Billy, if only to break away from the bitter tedium of his daily life.

Daniel Radcliffe plays the title role in the first major London revival since its premiere at the National Theatre in 1996.
