Anna-Jane Casey, Sophie-Louise Dann and Damian Humbley star in Forbidden Broadway

Anna-Jane Casey, Sophie-Louise Dann, Damian Humbley and Ben Lewis will star in satirical musical show Forbidden Broadway when it returns to the Menier Chocolate Factory from 19 June 2014.

The updated version of the show showcases some of the biggest new productions from both Broadway and the West End, including The Book of Mormon, Once, Matilda, Wicked and Miss Saigon.

Anna-Jane Casey, whose credits include Billy Elliot (Victoria Palace), Spamalot (Playhouse) and Company (Crucible, Sheffield), also appeared in the 2009 production of Forbidden Broadway at the Chocolate Factory.

Sophie-Louise Dann also appeared in the 2009 production; her other previous credits include Lend Me a Tenor (Gielgud), and she will soon be seen in Closer Than Ever at Jermyn Street Theatre.

Damian Humbley recently starred in the Chocolate Factory’s Olivier Award-winning production of Merrily We Roll Along. His other credits include Putting it Together (St James), Company (Crucible, Sheffield) and Lend Me a Tenor (Gielgud).

Ben Lewis last appeared as the Govenor and Vanderdendur in Candide at the Menier. Other credits include Therese Raquin (Finborough), the Australian productions of Love Never Dies, A Little Night Music (Opera Australia) and the Priscilla Queen of the Desert.

Forbidden Broadway will be directed by New York director Phillip George, with musical direction by Joel Fram, design by Morgan Large and sound design by Gareth Owen.
