1st Night Photos: Marti Webb brings Tell Me on a Sunday back to West End

Almost 35 years after she first performed it, Marti Webb has reprised her role in Andrew Lloyd Webber and Don Black's musical Tell Me on a Sunday, which transferred to the Duchess Theatre last night following its run at the St James Theatre last month.

Tell Me on a Sunday is a one-woman show that charts the romantic adventures of an English girl newly arrived in New York. It was originally performed as an album and then a TV special and later on stage as one half of Song & Dance.

Speaking to WhatsOnStage recently, Webb, now 68, said: "There's a little joke that we do where I have a slight pause after the line, 'we can have some kids as well', which the audience loves. I mean we need to get that out of the way because, obviously, I'm not pretending to be young anymore! I'm not pretending to be anything really, I'm just me."

The revival is produced by Robert Mackintosh (brother of Cameron), with musical supervision by Simon Lee.

Among the first night guests were Barbara Windsor, Wayne Sleep, Don Black, Vanessa Feltz, Lizzie Cundy and Anneka Rice.
