WhatsOnStage Award-winning musical Wicked has extended booking at the Apollo Victoria until 25 April 2015.

Now the 15th longest-running musical in West End history, the latest extension will take the show into its ninth year.

Stephen Schwartz's musical opened in the West End in 2006, and has won plaudits including eight WhatsOnStage Awards including Best New Musical and Best West End Show.

Based on the novel by Gregory Maguire that re-imagined the stories and characters created by L Frank Baum in 'The Wonderful Wizard of Oz', Wicked tells the untold story of an unlikely but profound friendship between two girls who first meet as sorcery students. Their adventures in Oz will ultimately see them fulfil their destinies as Glinda The Good and the Wicked Witch of the West.

Wicked currently stars: Willemijn Verkaik (Elphaba), Savannah Stevenson (Glinda), Jeremy Taylor (Fiyero), Sue Kelvin (Madame Morrible), Martyn Ellis (The Wizard), Paul Clarkson (Doctor Dillamond), Sam Lupton (Boq), Katie Rowley Jones (Nessarose), Emma Hatton (Standby Elphaba) and Sophie Linder-Lee (Standby Glinda).

Wicked is nominated for Best West End Show in the 2014 WhatsOnStage Awards. Click here to vote now!
