After one year, 41 episodes and over five million listens, Bob Mortimer and Andy Dawson are taking their hit comedy podcast on the road, with a host of all-new songs, stories, smart clothes, clear speaking and more. What started out in March 2016 as an attempt to record a football podcast soon turned into something far stranger and more random after Bob and Andy realised that their footballing opinions actually had zero credibility. Subjects covered each week include the lifestyle of former England manager Steve McClaren (including his love of beans on toast and the gastric struggles of his yellow snake Casper), Robson Green's doomed attempts to meet Newcastle United manager Rafa Benitez and Andy's run-ins with a short-tempered Jeremy Corbyn. In keeping with the overwhelmingly non-football vibe, the podcast has also included lifestyle hacks, domestic appliance tips and meat advice, as well as a campaign to build the world's largest saxophone just off the A1, and a definitive guide to lifting up celebrities.

John Mayall was, as a child, influenced by such greats as Leadbelly, Albert Ammons, Pinetop Smith, and Eddie Lang. From the age of 13 he taught himself to play and develop his own style with the aid of a neighbour's piano, borrowed guitars, and secondhand harmonicas. John met his soulmate in Eric Clapton, who had quit the Yardbirds in favour of playing the blues. This historic union culminated in the first hit album for John’s band, the Bluesbreakers, and resulted in worldwide legendary status. A succession of great musicians defined their artistic roots under John's leadership, and he became well known for discovering new talent. As sidemen left to form their own groups, others took their places. Peter Green, John McVie and Mick Fleetwood became Fleetwood Mac. Andy Fraser formed Free, and Mick Taylor joined the Rolling Stones. As Eric Clapton has stated, "John Mayall has actually run an incredibly great school for musicians."

Mac DeMarco will play his only London headline show at the Roundhouse this September. "As I'm getting older, chip up on my shoulder..." is the opening line from Mac DeMarco's second full-length LP Salad Days, the follow up to 2012's lauded Mac DeMarco 2. Amongst that familiar croon and lilting guitar, that initial line from the title track sets the tone for an LP of a maturing singer/songwriter/producer. Tracks like Brother, now a song-along-set-staple, show Mac's widening sound, whether insights into future directions or even just welcome one-off forays into new territory. This is musically, lyrically and melodically good old Mac DeMarco, with that peculiar Mac touch and the other elements seriously lacking in independent music: sentiment and heartfelt sincerity.
