Nadim Naaman will appear in a production of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Alan Ayckbourn's By Jeeves! in Bowness-on-Windermere later this year.

Currently playing Raoul in the West End production of The Phantom of the Opera, Naaman will be joined by Bill Champion when the musical opens at the Old Laundry Theatre in October as part of the theatre's 25th anniversary season.

By Jeeves is based on the novels of PG Wodehouse which are about the valet (Champion) of a rich young Londoner called Bertie (Naaman). Webber and Ayckbourn's musical premiered in 1975, and was revived in the West End in 1996. Ayckbourn will direct the Bowness-on-Windermere production.

The full cast includes Jamie Baughan, Katie Birtill, Howard Chadwick, Joshua Manning, Oliver Maudsley, Naomi Petersen, Nigel Richards and Melle Stewart.

It will have new sets designed by the Old Laundry Theatre's owner Roger Glossop and choreography by Sheila Carter, both of whom worked with Ayckbourn on the 1996 production.

By Jeeves! will run at the Old Laundry Theatre in Bowness-on-Windermere from 9 October to 4 November, with previews from 6 October.
