2Funy Comedy presents a night of laughs with some of the UK's comedy circuit favourites! First on the menu is Will-E, who has appeared live at The Apollo, and as part of P. Diddy's Bad Boys of Comedy. Then there's Kane Brown. Fearless, bold and energetic, Kane has graced the stage of Hackney Empire and The Comedy Store, to name a few. Previously voted 'Best Female Comedienne,' UK circuit favourite Glenda Jaxson is an extraordinary talent. Last but not least, Dane Baptiste has an unmistakable stage persona that has seen him perform at venues such as Just the Tonic and Glee Club.
Comedian, actor and permanent resident on 'QI'.
Following the sellout success of his long-awaited return to stand up, Alan Davies' previews his highly anticipated follow-up show, Little Victories. Much lauded as resident dunderhead on QI or the charming but reticent crime solver Jonathan Creek, Davies virtuosic story-telling and whip-smart funny bones combine to make this a show not to be missed. British Comedy Award winning and BAFTA nominated duo Cardinal Burns are hitting the road. Following their second series on Channel 4, the duo are ready to unleash a torrent of never-before-seen characters and familiar faces from the series all over your lovely town. Previous live shows have sold out in London, Edinburgh and Melbourne, and now the boys are ready to sell out all over again with their absurd, anarchic and unpredictable tapas of character comedy. The wonderfully innovative comedy mind behind Modern Life Is Goodish (Dave TV), Are You Dave Gorman? and Googlewhack Adventure is back with a brand new live show that promises more of his unique blend of stand-up comedy and visual story-telling as Dave Gorman Gets Straight To The Point... (The PowerPoint). Yes. That's right. It's a PowerPoint presentation. We know what you're thinking. But don't worry... as this all-new show follows the phenomenal success of his critically-acclaimed UK Tour, Dave Gorman's Powerpoint Presentation, which included a sold-out 5-night run at London's Southbank Centre, we think you're in pretty safe (and funny) hands. You won't need to take notes and you almost certainly won't be tested on it later.
Henning is The German Comedy Ambassador in The United Kingdom. This is not the easiest of jobs because the Germans allegedly do not have a sense of humour. Henning does not find that funny.
After more than a decade in Britain, the German Comedy Ambassador has 'groan' to like puns.... though he still couldn't eat a whole one. As Henning's assimilation is not yet complete he hasn't lost his sense of Westphalian wonderment at the foibles of British society. Why does everybody want to be owned by a house? What's wrong with having the Euro? And why hold society and government responsible for personal underachievement? You've only got yourself to blame for not being born into a better social class. Expect an evening-long crash course in personal accountability and have a right old laugh at the same time! Wunderbar!
Perrier nominee 2002.
John Bishop is now one of the most in-demand acts on the comedy circuit. His engaging brand of observational humour mines his varied and colourful life experience, from being a Dad to cycling round the world and from a successful corporate career to being a club doorman.
Join John up close and personal in our theatre as he tries out new material in advance of his 2014 arena tour. This is not a polished show, but a great chance to see him in a smaller venue.
Come and find out whether or not a leopard can change its spots, or if they are doomed to be angry forever not to have been given a more uniform and symmetrical fur pattern.
Milton Jones is renowned for his string of surreal and unusual one-liners. On stage, hair gelled in 360 different directions, clothes half-spaceman, half '70s Bhs, he was Perrier Finalist of 1997 and Best Newcomer in 1996. His delivery is part weirdo, part childish, part punch drunk.
Audiences can expect An Evening With Noel Fielding to contain a magical mix of Noel's unique brand of stand-up comedy, live animation and music, as well as some of his best-known TV characters, such as The Moon and Fantasy Man.
With a career in comedy spanning three decades, Omid Djalili's legendary performances on stage and screen have won him fans and plaudits the world over. Renowned for his razor sharp wit, boundless energy and expertly crafted cultural observations, Omid's original material continues to explore the diversity of modern Britain and he remains one of the most exciting entertainers on the circuit.
The UK's most controversial Asian comedian, Paul Chowdhry, is seen as the bad boy entertainer of the Brit comedy scene and regarded as the outspoken nemesis of wholesome traditional Asian comics.
Ross has a reputation for outstanding improvisation ability.
A young Amstell started performing on the comedy circuit when he was just 14 and later caught the eye of TV executives in 1998 after becoming the youngest ever finalist of the BBC New Comedy Awards. A short and somewhat chequered stint with Nickelodeon followed before he parted company with the children s channel and found himself much more at home as the cult co-host for Channel 4 s POPWORLD.
