Dates have been confirmed for the upcoming tour of Cameron Mackintosh's Miss Saigon.

After the show's run finished in the West End in February 2016, the production will head out across the UK from 3 July 2017.

Opening at the Curve in Leicester, the production also plays at the Birmingham Hippodrome (26 July to 23 September 2017), Bord Gais Energy Theatre, Dublin (4 October to 18 November), Wales Millennium Centre, Cardiff (29 November 2017 to 6 January 2018), Festival Theatre Edinburgh (17 January to 17 February 2018) and Mayflower Southampton (21 February to 17 March 2018).

The revival production, directed by Laurence Connor, opened at the Prince Edward Theatre in the West End in 2014. Originally opening on the West End in 1989, Miss Saigon is written by Alan Boublil and Claude-Michel Schönberg and is the tale of a love-story set in Vietnam during the war, loosely inspired by the opera Madame Butterfly.

Connor's production broke records for advance sales and won nine WhatsOnStage Awards in 2015.

Mackintosh said: "I am thrilled that audiences around the UK will get to see this tremendous new production that audiences and critics in London have embraced since it opened in 2014; which I am now taking to Broadway with its original West End stars opening next March at the Broadway Theatre."

This year, the show will also be screening the 25th anniversary gala on 16 October, which includes performances from the original Engineer Jonathan Pryce and Lea Salonga who played Kim. The show opens on Broadway next March.

Casting for the UK tour and further dates will be announced soon. Tickets for the start of the tour will go on sale in October.

Miss Saigon runs at Curve, Leicester from 3 July to 22 July and then tours.
