A major UK tour of Million Dollar Quartet has been announced, due to open at the Leicester Curve in September 2016

The Tony Award-winning Broadway musical is inspired by the true story of the famed recording session where Sam Phillips, the "Father of Rock 'n' Roll" brought together icons Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins, Jerry Lee Lewis and Elvis Presley.

The production will feature over 20 rock ‘n’ roll hits, including "Blue Suede Shoes", "Hound Dog", "I Walk The Line" and "Great Balls of Fire".

Million Dollar Quartet is written by Tony Award-nominees Colin Escott and Floyd Mutrux and produced by Simon Friend and Mark Goucher with Tom O'Connell. Ian Talbot will direct.

Casting is yet to be announced.

Million Dollar Quartet opens at Leicester Curve on 14 September, after which it tours to Sheffield Lyceum, Nottingham Theatre Royal, Malvern, Birmingham Hippodrome, Edinburgh Festival Theatre, Leeds Grand, Glasgow King's Theatre, Southampton Mayflower and Bristol Hippodrome. Further spring dates are to be announced.
