Paul Kerryson has announced his final season as artistic director of Leicester Curve, which includes revivals of Mike Leigh’s Abigail’s Party and Rodgers and Hammerstein classic The Sound of Music.

The Sound of Music, which runs from 3 December to 17 January (previews from 28 November), will reunite Kerryson, who directs, with the creative team behind last year's Chicago, including choreographer Drew McOnie and musical director Ben Atkinson.

The autumn/winter season opens in the main house in September, with a visit from the tour of Cameron Mackintosh's new production of Barnum (5-13 September), first seen in Chichester last summer, and now starring Brian Conley in the title role.

Frantic Assembly return to Curve in October with an "electrifying take" on Shakespeare’s Othello (28 October-1 November), directed by Scott Graham. And Murmur and Inked, a new double bill from the Aakash Odedra dance company, will run in the Studio on 10 and 11 November.

The Studio also hosts associate director Suba Das' revival of Abigail's Party (17 October-8 November), a sharp satire of 1970s suburbia, which will be Curve’s first show to be staged in the round.

Kerryson said last year of his departure, "It has been a privilege to have played a part in the artistic vision and creation of Curve and then the incredibly exciting first five years."
