Desperate for some fun, puppy Oskar leaves his snowbound house on top of the mountain to try to find a friendly animal to play with. But where are all the animals? And why does Oskar have to wait till spring to play his favourite game again? An original, heart-warming play for young children and their families. Full of good humour, adventure, music and song.
Pitschi the kitten lives with her brothers and sisters, Grandma Lisette and a dog called Bello on a farm high up in the Swiss Alps. She doesn't care much for the rough and tumble and mischievous fun of kitten play and dreams of being something else - a chicken, perhaps, or a goat, or a bunny - for after all, for Pitschi, anything is better than being a cat! Pitschi goes on an exciting adventure around the farm to meet the other animals, but finally discovers that she can be happy by being exactly what she is.
How many crows are there in this land? Which came first, the chicken or the egg? Only Birbal knows... Whatever the question, Birbal - cunning advisor to Mughal Emperor Akbar - has the answer! Mashi Theatre's travelling storytellers stop by to share the enchanting Tales of Birbal, ancient stories of adventure and problem-solving. Akin to Aesop's Fables, these tales have been treasured for centuries across the Indian subcontinent. Using puppetry and music, Mashi invites a new generation to unearth the richness in these legends.

Climb aboard the Hispaniola this summer for the adventure of a lifetime. Meet Jem Hawkins, a woman with a plan - to escape her troubles, travel the world and make a new life for herself. The problem is - she's picked the wrong crew: an opinionated parrot, a bunch of pirate buffoons and the terrifying Long John Silver watch over her every move. Follow Jem's search for treasure as the winding paths and dark woodlands of Williamson Park transform into Treasure Island. Robert Louis Stevenson's classic novel is given a thrilling new twist by the award-winning team behind last year's sell-out production of The Hobbit, which won the 2016 UK Theatre Award for Best Show for Children & Young People. The Dukes are delighted to restage Debbie Oates' tremendously popular 2012 indoor production of Treasure Island, giving it a new life as this walkabout outdoor experience.
This event takes place at Williamson Park Quernmore Road, Lancaster LA1 1UX
