Far From Kansas are back at the Fringe opening the doors to their department store with a difference, Little Shop of Homos. Here they explain what they are all about.

Who the FFK are you, and what are you doing here?

Far From Kansas is the cabaret group of the famous London Gay Men's Chorus and we bring you the Little Shop of Homos. We sing, we move, link songs with some gay gags and the audience has a great time.

What’s it all about?

In a reality shifted only slightly off-centre we've created Hardy Dicks, a fabulous gays-only Department Store where you swipe your gay-card to get in. But Gaydom is under threat from those straight boys who are way too gay – what with their hair, skin products and developing fashion sense they’re stealing our lifestyle! How do we deal with it? We stand up for ourselves, arrange a few songs in four-part harmony and put on a show of course! It’s a coping mechanism.

What can we expect?

FFK's trademark close harmony and moves to tunes from Sinitta to Sondheim via Gershwin, Kander & Ebb and Katy Perry and many, many more. Add to that a gag-filled script and you have a stylishly gift- wrapped feel-good show.

You’ve been here before haven’t you?

We love it! FFK's previous Fringe show are There's No Place Like Homo, Oklahomo! and Thoroughly Modern Willie. You get the idea. When not at the Fringe, we’re doing weddings, corporate, promotional, and charity gigs all over the place as well as singing with the rest of the 150-strong LGMC. This year we’ve found ourselves singing for Dolly Parton at the BBC and David Cameron at home in Number 10!

Little Shop of Homos runs from the 14-20 August at 18.00 at C Venues - C.
