Five Reasons to See… West End Glee Club

Five Reasons to See… West End Glee Club

Date: 22 August 2010

1. Ms Hands needs your help…

Our wonderful Glee Club teacher has a problem. Her group has qualified for the first ever national finals and rehearsals were going great – until she was notified that they need to add a solo to their set. Which talented performer gets the honour of singing it? This is where you come in!

2. Our students need your vote!

During our show our four strongest contenders will perform their chosen songs and give you an insight into their lives. Then you, the members of the audience, take charge as you vote for the ultimate winner and make one dream become a reality.

3. A chance to see tomorrow’s stars of musical theatre today

West End Glee Club features some of the industry’s finest new graduates> The cast includes Craig Barlow (Guildford), Lisa Lynch (Mountview), Jonny Purchase (Guildford) and Stephanie Ticknell-Smith (D&B). Each of the performers has graduated from their drama institutes this year, apart from one who will finish training in 2011.

4. Relax with a show packed full of fantastic musical theatre

West End Glee Club is a new revue-based musical which features well-known songs by Stephen Sondheim, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Jonathan Larson and Marvin Hamlisch. It also features music from Wicked, Les Miserables, Cabaret and We Will Rock You among many others. Could there also be a mash-up? Come and find out for yourself!

5. Guest performers each evening guarantee a different show every night

In true Fringe spirit, each evening there will be a guest slot within our production, where a different company or cabaret performer is able to come and promote their show. It’s a great chance for you to see a smidgen of what else is available on the Fringe to tantalise those taste-buds.

West End Glee Club is performed at Zoo Roxy (Venue 115) from 6 to 30 August at 7pm.
