Guests flocked to the West End for the opening night of The Lehman Trilogy, which comes to the Piccadilly Theatre following its runs at the National Theatre and in New York.

The show, which opened at the National Theatre in July 2018, currently stars Simon Russell Beale, Adam Godley, and Ben Miles.

Ben Power's adaptation of Stefano Massini's novel, directed by Sam Mendes, garnered strong reviews in its initial run, including a four-star write-up from WhatsOnStage critic Sarah Crompton. She called it 'a magical piece of storytelling'.

The piece looks at two centuries of the Lehman family, from the moment a young man from Bavaria arrives in New York, to 163 years later when the firm he and his brothers establish collapses.

Designs for The Lehman Trilogy are from Es Devlin, costume design by Katrina Lindsay, video design by Luke Halls, lighting design by Jon Clark, and music and sound design by Nick Powell. The music director is Candida Caldicot, with movement by Polly Bennett.
