Howard Panter and Rosemary Squire step down from top ATG roles

The pair will acquire Trafalgar Studios and retain roles with the company

Howard Panter and Rosemary Squire have today announced that they are stepping down from their roles as joint Chief Executive Officers at Ambassador Theatre Group (ATG)

The move will see the pair acquire Trafalgar Studios from ATG where they will 'evolve a distinctive artistic direction for the theatre.'

Panter will continue as Executive Producer on some existing and future ATG productions, Squire will become Deputy Chairman of the ATG Group and will remain chairman of Sonia Friedman Productions. Both will continue as directors and shareholders.

The pair founded ATG in 1992, the organisation now has 45 venues across Britain, the United States and Australia.

A statement released by Panter and Squire said: "We are proud of the many achievements, loyalty and superb work of all our colleagues at ATG… It is a good time for us to start new creative roles.

"We will continue to take a role in ATG while looking forward to devoting more time to our passion for creating great theatrical content and a vibrant London theatre."

Mark Cornell, former Managing Director of Sotheby’s Europe, will take over as Group Chief Executive Officer and Adam Kenwright, co-founder of marketing agency AKA, will join as Executive Vice President.
