A great fun night out - the dancing as ever is superb, especially the standard of the dancers who dance the male parts. I've seen the Bolshoi and Mariinsky numerous times and they wouldn't look out of place in those companies. Les Sylphides - a wonderful take-off, especially the dreamy, seeimingly hypnotised male dancer. The black swan pas de deux - wow, many female dancers would love to perform the fouettes with such aplomb. La Vivandiere was performed so true to the correct choreography was wonderful, and the company really warmed and showed some wonderful athletic dancing in Walpurgisnight. So great I'm going to see them again at Bradford, I hope that they come again next year, and not wait two years before lifting the doom and gloom of recession-hit Britain. The standing ovation they received on 29 January at the Lowry was well-deserved. Loved the Morris dance too! - Dr Lynne Foxcroft
