truly enjoyed every minute of this production. fantastically written, well put together and superbly executed by four very talented performers. would heartily reccomend anyone to go see this if theyre lucky enough to find it on a stage near them. This is the 2nd 'in development' production ive seen at the lowry recently and just wanted to add that it is a fantastic idea, hope other theatre's catch on, its a great way to see new material. - JC

what can i say but fantastic ive got the book and cd and been a long time fan of tom baker so to have his book put on stage was a marval. the cast were great i arrived from wolverhampton on the 23rd of june to see the boy who kicked pigs at the lowry and would see it again if it was brought to my town of wolverhampton well done to all involved - tracy rickhuss

A really refreshing trip to the theatre - thoroughly entertaining, hilariously performed with precision timing. It's like being a kid watching cartoons only with a rambunctious adult slant on the dark world of a power hungry teenager. - Garry Paton

Kill the Beast have done a great job of bringing the warped lunacy of 'The Boy Who Kicked Pigs' to the stage, in an incredibly inventive and funny production which overcomes the limitations of a small space and presumably modest budget by making a virtue of the company's greatest asset - its actors, all of whom play a huge array of parts. - TheAndrewF

Very tight and pacey. Keeps you enthralled for 70 minutes that feel like 20. Brilliant performances with some very demanding interplay. Sinister but hilarious from start to finish - FS

Brilliantly funny. A great adaptation of Tom Baker's book, really good use of such a small space and particularly liked the background projections. I thought the acting was excellent. - Rob Evans

A memorable and brilliantly conceived comedy with some wicked dialogue and puns. Strong visual impact - costumes, use of the space, moves and projected images. The actors should be extremely proud. I note others' views about professionalism but to suggest otherwise with this production is churlish! A truly memorable experience. Deserves a much wider audience. We were wonderfully entertained. - Jonathan and Paul

Superbly written and fantastically acted. This is a hysterical piece of theatre from start to finish. 'Kill the Beast' have debuted with a show that would be enjoyed on any stage, in any part of the country. I could not recommend it highly enough. If you are in the Manchester area and were thinking of going to the cinema over the next couple of days - DON'T BOTHER! Head over to The Lowry and invest your time and money more wisely. You would be foolish to miss out on this. - Nick Mottershead
