It seems the production went down since its opening. I have just reread the reviews and feel like I saw a different production this afternoon. The audience was clearly uninvolved, in fact there were few moments when the actors appeared to have captured its full attention. The comic scenes were excellent, but Jamie Parker was regularly galloping trhough his lines and overall being a highly uncharismatic Harry. Brid Brennan was a superb chorus. - Lise

Henry V is obviously perfectly suited to the Globe's wooden O and Brid Brennan providesa very good role as the chorus, but although this is a perfectly good production there are very few moments which make it exceptional or will live long in the memory. The transitions between the scenes involving the courts of England and France and the comic thread of Pistol, Nym etc are a bit clumsy and never as funny as the recent Propellor version. In contrast Jamie Parker completes his fine journey from Prince Hal of a couple of years ago and his speech leading up to the "cry God for Harry, England and St George" is genuinely stirring. There is a lovely stage debut from Olivia Ross as the boy and Princess Katharine and excellent support from some familiar Globe faces but I was expecting something a bit more exciting from Dominic Dromgoole. - David Baxter

Fantastic, really enjoyed it! A bit too fast pace at the beginning. Shame really as Canterbury's speech on Henry's right to invade France is actually hilarious, but it was rather rushed and the audience did not seem to have understood it.
Otherwise, absolutely great!
