Unbelievable production, a multi-talented cast that play at least one instrument each, remember all their music, move round the stage still playing, sing and dance for over two hours topped by some great songs brilliantly sungby the principals. If only the diction was clearer if would have got a five. - oldcolner

In reply to Valerie. I saw Chess the other night too i also saw it in Edinburgh and the sound problems were the same there. I had a wee word with the sound guy this time and he said its been like that for most of the tour. I am going to ask for a ticket refund too.
I think its over rated, boring shouty camp nonsense a second viewing confirmed my opinion.
this production of Chess is the emperors new clothes. its taking we Bravehearts to speak the truth about it! - Scotty D

Amazing stage sets, choreography and singing.BUT --------- Due to the poor sound quality, no one I spoke to had any idea about the story as it was impossible to hear any English. The music drowned out the voices which were indistinct due to equipment failure. Many complained to front of house staff and an attempt was made to fix the problem - alas unsuccessful. Some left at the interval. I have asked for a ticket refund. A good night out ruined. - Valerie V

I clearly saw a different show. the acting by Fox and Koek was wooden and awkward, the accents Varnom's in particular are appalling. the staging dated and the choreography lumpy messy - can't knock the singing but its style over substance - CallumMac
