Fantasic best show I have seen. The malevolent Miss Trunchbull, the crass Wormwoods and the sensitivity and determination of Miss Honey and Matilda is a tour de force of British theatre. World class. The pace and comedy is perfect and totally matches the book and film images but somehow moves to another level beyond with expert choreography and execution. This show must go on - Mark Skilton

This is a stunning production, I have seen this twice now. Kerry Ingram is unbelievably brilliant - she "owns" the stage/audience. All the songs/choreography are great but I really enjoyed the swings and "when I grow up" song that starts the second half. I cannot recommend this performance enough, wherever you are in the UK you must go and see it. And if you have seen it already then no doubt like me you would love to see it again.
Other highlights ... Mr Wormwood sings during the interval .. TELLY - hilarious, make sure you are back in your seat quickly. The stage effects .. brilliant. - Ian Johaneson

Matilda has found a new home. A star of many library shelves the story now has a firm place in theatre. The RSC production is magnificent and the young actors, mainly from the Sylvia Long School, are impressive without any allowance fopr their agfe. The adult actors work hard to keep on the same high level and do triumph whether they paky a kind but not too sweet Miss Honey or the awful adults drwawn with such an acid pen by Dahl and brought to life by the superlative cast. Miss Trunchbull being so atletically dangerous and malign yet the feminised play by Bertie Carvel makes for a funny woman whose evil nonetheless stokes her riotous by the triumphant children
Superb and will no doubt transfer to the West End where it can thrill and delight many more. This is one show to catch in 2011 - it turns the darkest day into delight. - Larry

Just Brilliant. Do hope it goes to London and/or is revived every year for ever! - David
