All Bob’s Women Finishes Four Days After Opening
All Bob’s Women Finishes Four Days After Opening
Date: 27 June 2008

All Bob's Women had its UK premiere on Tuesday (24 June 2008) and, after a critical mauling, it will close on Sunday (28 June) after just six performances and three previews at the West End’s Arts Theatre (See 1st Night Photos, 25 Jun 2008). It had been due to run for ten weeks until 24 August.

In a statement released today, Guido Fabris, for lead producers Chokolate, said: "Unfortunately, this is another example of a European hit getting lost in translation in London. The original Italian version of All Bob's Women ran for nine months in Milan. We are extremely proud of our cast and production team and the hard work they put in."

In the new musical sex comedy, written by Italian TV composer Romy Padovano, Casanova Bob is a man on a mission: to seduce five very different women and manage to keep them apart so they don't become aware of all his other conquests. As part of his plan, he resorts to extreme measures to learn their secret desires.

The production stars Amy Booth-Steel, the first Nancy voted off BBC One’s I’d Do Anything, and Bad Girls Nicole Faraday, along with Sharon Cherry Ballard, Danielle Corlass, Tanya Robb, Lucy Thatcher and, playing Bob, Sam Oatley. It’s directed by Russell Labey and designed by Jason Denvir, with lighting by Mike Robertson and musical arrangements and direction by Sacha Puttnam.
