starstarNot one of Hare's best plays by a million miles. talking about Iraq doesn't make a brilliant play; three underwritten characters, cliched relationships, clunky staging. Could do better. - Lynette29 Feb 08
starstarstarMore of an intellectual discussion happening on a stage than a play, this is a bit of a disappointment. The debate is indeed interesting, there are some great lines and Indira Varma is a revelation, but the boyfriend is a seriously underwritten part which unbalances the play. Not a patch on Hare's 'state of the nation' plays or gems like Skylight and Amy's View. - Gareth James26 Feb 08
starstarstarstarDavid Hare? I always keep his wife's occupation in the back of my mind when I listen to his arguments! I saw Bill Nighy in New York with the very wooden Julianne Moore - Indira Varma is streets ahead. I thought Anton Lessar to was every bit as good as Mr Nighy. It was beautifully staged. I like wordy plays and Mr Hare doesn't dissappoint in that respect. - rds19 Feb 08
starstarstarstarIs it just me or were the central arguements simplistic and naive? Indira Varma's performance worth the tkt price alone. What a star. - joesmith07 Feb 08
