saw this on the last night. had no expectations. this is real theatre. you have to listen and watch as the actress looks right at you and challenges your perceptions about life and language. it is funny but i agree with the reviewer - it isn't supposed to be a comedy. it should get awards for performance and direction. at least it doesn't follow the formula of West End shows - USER: Whatsonstage.com

It was a bit confusing at first and I agree that it wasn't extraordinarily funny. There again, I don't think it's supposed to be a comedy. It's a tragedy with bizare comments about language and life that we all take for granted. It's the most unusual play around. And at least it makes you think. You have to make up your own mind about what exactly is going on. Good to read the play after though. - USER: Whatsonstage.com

The write-up says an extraordinary funny play. I don't quite agree with this. Extraordinarily endearing, yes. At first it was a bit difficult to follow what was going on - I'm not sure if I would've caught on so soon if I didn't read what the play was about first. The acting is superb though and the hour and a half flew by. Though I was not sure as to my feelings during the play, I was still left with a lump in my throat at the end. Very good play, but very heavy... - USER: Whatsonstage.com

Saw this play last night. It's really different. One minute I laughed out loud, the next I was in shock. The lead actress is called Joanna Holden who sounds like a mixture of Julie Walters and some lost little person. She should be one to look out for in the future. Me and my freinds weren't exactly sure some of the time where we were but in a way that added to the experience. You have to be prepared to listen at the same time as looking and thinking! It would be interesting to see it again to put all the pieces together. What I think helps is you buy the programme and you get the play with it, all for £2.50. Just don't read the last page while you're waiting for the play to start! - USER: Whatsonstage.com

The performances are beautiful and committed, the direction is imaginative, the set design is beautifully realised, the audience is absorbed - we are pushed, pulled, moved. There are also lots of laughs and the show finishes at nine o'clock so there isn't a watch-beeping panic for last orders. See this show.
Ahem.
