Saw this great show on press night and enjoyed it so much, the most fun i have had in a theatre for ages "laughing out loud from most of the audience-unheard in so called modern comedies these days",Debra Gillett is amazing and nice to see Melanie Clark Pullen who was Mary in Eastenders and was really good as Orgons daughter and Clare Holman is great in the scene where Tartuffe trys to get his way with her, with her hubby under the table.
But there is a bit of a wait to see the star of the show Mr Clunes, who is so funny as Tartuffe but the build up to his arrival adds to the production, his facial expressions and timing is awesome and never heard a theatre laugh so loud at his comical pants and figure and seeing him eat a meal is an experience and a half.
Well worth seeing and i will definatley see it again in the very good value front £10 seats, the costumes are great and the set is very good and changes on a revolve and the finale is very colourful.
Could not reccommend this more a great and entertaining production to add to all the other great ones that the NT keep turning out, continuing to be the leading light in UK theatre by miles and will probably have another Olivier award on it shelf for this show next year this time. - USER: Whatsonstage.com

What on earth is going on at the NAtional. Martin Clunes, you had better stick to your ladd style role. It seems the National is spending all it's resourses on designing and building elaborate sets. Tartuffe. By the way the set contains a closet with 45 pairs of shoes and I think 3 pairs were the same. When some of the actors were talking I was counting the Source 4s ( stage managers will know what that means. I am an acting student in my second year and after seeing this performance, It makes me wonder if I should ever have dreamt of being an actor. A waste of time and a waste of my £24.oo
