starThe worst play I have every seen in London. The storyline was so boring we had to wake those next to us at the interval. - USER: Whatsonstage.com (81.5.166.220)23 Aug 04
starAWFUL!!! I have never been so disappointed by a night at the theatre. Badly conceived and was so bored. If you're going to have a play about Mae West at least give us some insight into who she was... who cares about two sad fans on a pilgrimage and falling in love... Was very cheaply done as well... Duke of Yorks is wasted with this.. and not surprised its closing early. Not surprised now that there are so many deals around for tickets... glad I only paid £10 - USER: Whatsonstage.com (217.35.141.121)19 Aug 04

starstarstarMore worthy than thrilling. A clever idea which is well executed and reasonably entertaining......but a West End show at West End prices ? I think not. This belongs on the fringe. - USER: Whatsonstage.com (172.158.35.99)02 Jul 04
starHow does shite like this make it to the West End???? - USER: Whatsonstage.com (12.103.239.82)30 Jun 04
starWhat a bore!!!!! - USER: Whatsonstage.com (12.103.239.82)25 Jun 04
starTacky, low budget and slow - this show is only for real Mae West obsessives. A tiresome performance; no doubt the the sparse attendance will ensure yet another early closure. - USER: Whatsonstage.com (80.46.138.122)25 Jun 04
starI agree with the rest of you, this is a mess. - USER: Whatsonstage.com (12.103.239.82)24 Jun 04
starMae West deserves a lot better than this! I'd rather see one of her old films on the telly. - USER: Whatsonstage.com (12.103.239.82)23 Jun 04
starIt'll be another short runner at the Duke of Yorks. - USER: Whatsonstage.com (213.83.110.180)23 Jun 04
starClaudia Shear is not a talented enough playwright nor a talented enough actress to pull this off. - USER: Whatsonstage.com (12.103.239.82)22 Jun 04
starWhy can't people write decent plays anymore! - USER: Whatsonstage.com (12.103.239.82)21 Jun 04
starHard to believe that a play as bad as this can make it to the West End. Well, the last two plays that played the Dukes of York's had early closings, this deserves the same fate. - USER: Whatsonstage.com (12.103.239.82)21 Jun 04
starstarstarstarstarGorgeous production! Claudia Shear is extraordinary. I was expecting something light and distracting nd was pleasantly surprised to be moved by the end. Lovely. - USER: Whatsonstage.com (66.108.157.220)19 Jun 04

starThis play is like a bad drag act, devoid of any heart. - USER: Whatsonstage.com (12.103.239.82)18 Jun 04

starBloody awful!!! - USER: Whatsonstage.com (12.103.239.82)17 Jun 04
starstarstarSlow first half ... picks up speed in the short second half. Excellent performances from all. It's a good show but I doubt it's lasting ability in the current turbulent West End. If you're going ... better go soon. - USER: Whatsonstage.com (213.83.110.180)17 Jun 04
starstarstarstarOne of the better plays I've seen this year. The first act starts really slow, but once the pace picks up the show really takes off. The cast are all excellent and it's very funny in places. - USER: Whatsonstage.com (195.224.176.5)17 Jun 04
