| Another great night at the Union, what a cast hard to pick just one out. Looked lovely and some fab movement in that tiny space! well done all and to top it off you could hear every word! Makes a change these days. G&S would approve! - jamie tate | 07 Aug 09 | |
| I never had much of a taste for G&S until the Union Theatre started these all-male small-scale versions. Produced traditionally, G7S operettas seem like museum pieces, but here they again breath new life into it and it comes up fresh and very funny. The acting and musical standards are exceptional and the choreography and directions impeccable. Satirists and rebels in their day, somehow I think G&S would think it a hoot too. - Gareth James | 06 Aug 09 | |
| Fantastic version of this show which I must have seen a dozen times or more. Adam Ellis as 'Mabel', Russell Whitehead as 'Frederic' Samuel J Holmes as 'Ruth' and Alan Winner 'Pirate King' were wonderful. But Fred Broom as the Major General was both wonderful AND simply delightful. I wish I could go again. If YOU can, go!!!! - Heather Pitt | 27 Jul 09 | |
| Would love to see it. Wish it was here close by. - Jeanette Hurt { Alan's Grandma} | 21 Jul 09 | |
