| Saw it yesterday afternoon - it was really well done and I really enjoyed it, beautiful voices, good show though they did cut 4 or 5 songs. Also would prefer a 2.00 pm rather than 3.00 pm start - we have to travel home 250 miles - yes to see this - it was worth it. This show is sadly overlooked it is a real gem. - Markie | 09 Oct 11 | |
| So The Bakers Wife really does work. I always thought there was more to this show. I saw it in the West End when it sank without trace back in 1989 and felt that the beautiful score deserved better. The intimate setting of the Union Theatre is perfect for this piece with a fabulous central performance from Michael Matus and a strong ensemble. - Paul Wallis | 08 Oct 11 | |
| Yet another hit for the Union Theatre Nicely comedic and warm hearted. A lovely little compact production that sounds and looks great; I particulary liked how it’s been re orchestrated for piano & cello (and occasional guitar!) it’s sounds great Go Go Go - Reich | 07 Oct 11 | |
| How could ANYONE say that The Bkaer's Wife has only one good song? It's a wonderful score packed with warm and witty material and a real overlookjed gem of a show - Mike Gibb | 04 Oct 11 | |
| I've seen this twice and LOVED it !Fantastic naturalist direction of a piece that could quite easily have drifted into a big broadway cheese fest. Fantastic cast and congrats to all for the 5 OFFIE nominations!!! - abi | 27 Sep 11 |
