| A great show. Very well acted, especially Alex Ferns. Moving & funny. It was such a shame that the theatre was only half full, even on a Friday night. Such a wonderful production deserves a bigger audience - USER: Whatsonstage.com (213.162.122.71) | 17 May 04 | |
| ...based on my expewrience of the play at the Royal Exchange Studio. I was moved to tears, by both powerful writing and performances. I haven't seen it in the West End. Perhaps it just didn't travel well. But if the West End doesn't like it, I'd be more than happy to see it again back in Manchester, where it played to a packed studio every night. - USER: Whatsonstage.com (62.173.124.194) | 11 May 04 | |
| The two central performances are much better than the play. It feels like it is a section of of a much better wider ranging piece. Alex Ferns is excellent and Ben Cross gives a good solid perfomance but it didn't say anything new or that interesting. I rate the performances 4 and the play 2 so give it a three.. | A 1st class play with great performances from the leads. Som of it drags a little but ultimately, this is a play that should be seen for its subject matter alone. - USER: Whatsonstage.com (213.122.27.254) | 01 May 04 | |
| This is an excellent drama. The acting is fantastic and I feel that the supporting roles add a certain something and don't feel that they are underwritten. The writer doesn't pretend that there are easy answers to the complex issues but this is still fine theatre all the same. It's rare to see a drama of this calibre in the West End when so many theatres stick to the classics for guaranteed box office returns. Ferns and Cross give superb performances. - USER: Whatsonstage.com (213.122.114.74) | 01 May 04 | |
| This is the West End, can't we do better than this!!! - USER: Whatsonstage.com (12.103.239.82) | 29 Apr 04 | |
| Jesus Hopped the A Train did it much much better, but this is still worth seeing if only for the lead performances. Alex Ferns in particular is astounding. So powerful and pitiable at the same time. Bravo! - USER: Whatsonstage.com (82.69.37.108) | 29 Apr 04 |
