Cooking with Elvis (Upstairs at the Gatehouse, Inner London)

| This enterprising theatre has come up trumps again, with a welcome revival of Lee Hall's play. It's a strange concoction, sometimes preposterous, sometimes absurd, sometimes shocking but often very funny. It's a clever set for a small theatre and the cast of four give it their all - the Elvis impersonator who plays Dad is uncanny! Not everyone will have the stomach for the black comedy but I thoroughly enjoyed it. - Gareth James | 06 Apr 09 |
