| brilliant show and tom Chambers was absolutely fantastic. Wonder if the people who criticised his performance actually watched him dancing. Could watch it over and over again, the only criticism I would make was the feather dress which had the look of a lampshade, Summer Strallen's dancing was therefore obscured which was such a pity as her other dances were great. if this show goes to the West End I will be there................ - Anne Deniro | 24 Sep 11 | |
| We absolutely loved it and thought Tom was very well cast, and was obviously playing Fred Astaire. The person who thought it dull must have been seeing a different show to us! The scene changes were very slick and overall we loved it. - wendylois | 22 Sep 11 | |
| Great fun, charming and as feelgood as can be. As we left, the person in front of me was literally dancing up the steps to the exit to big smiles all round. I loved Top Hat and congratulate all involved for a great evening at the theatre. - Richard Cully | 19 Sep 11 | |
| The orchestra is fabulous and the sets and costumes excellent. The time flew past as we really enjoyed the performance BUT the leading man really cannot dance, act or sing and who was quite charmless. What a shame that producers insist on trotting out telly "names" who are miscast. Ms Strallen definitely deserved a better partner and the show a better leading man. I had not seen the show he was on, so was quite mystified as to the casting. Admittedly, the audience really seemed to love him at the curtain call, so perhaps it's just me... This show is well worth watching, though, and the songs which were inserted from the Irving Berlin songbook were really well chosen and fitted seamlessly. - Theatregoer | 19 Sep 11 | |
| What...this show is DULL and 3 hours long. The scene changes take forever and Tom Chambers has no love or passion or humour, he has two looks over done smiles or dead pan. Where is the spark in the leads? There is no joy between them and sorry but on top of it all Mr C can not sing very well. So we why does he get 90% of the songs? Please give Summer and others more to do. The rest of the company led by Summer, (Vivien and Ricardo a joy - comedy at last) and in some ways Martin save the show. The company, the wounderful band, the dancing make the show but the director must have fell asleep. We did and almost missed the last train home. - westender | 17 Sep 11 | |
| Brilliant! Hopefully everyone will have the chance to see how a musical should be done. The West end needs a show like this. - ils | 15 Sep 11 |
