| Having seen this play twice in Canada I can say it just keeps getting better, sexier and even more delicious. Bravo to the Soho for taking a chance. - USER: Whatsonstage.com | 08 Mar 02 | |
| Saw this production (may have changed slightly at Soho) at the West Yorks Playhouse and despite some fine performances (especially Thelma Barlow) the play never got going for me. I remainded detached and an observer whilst knowing I was supposed to be involved. Ultimately it became boring. Don't sit near the front if you are a non smoker!!! - USER: Whatsonstage.com | 19 Feb 02 | |
| I saw this play last night, and I think this is the first show I have seen at the Soho theatre that could make a successful transfer to the west end. It was well acted throughout and received a rousing applause at the end. I loved the idea of showing excerpts of Louise Brooks silent movies to juxtapose the present with the past. It wasn't as rude as you might imagine. The Kenneth Tynan character was full of wit, and I loved the scenes when the young Louise Brookes appeared on stage conjured up by Tynans imagination. - USER: Whatsonstage.com | 19 Feb 02 |
