| From Mrs JB I saw Jailhouse Rock 5 times in Plymouth, before it came to the West End in London,i had a great time, really enjoyed myself everytime. the cast were just great, Mairo was brillient as Vince, he has the voice, the moves, ohh and those hips, keep up the good work all of you, i wished you all the success in the world Mario for the West End, when you left Plymouth but i new you wouldn't need it as i just new Jailhouse Rock would be such a big hit. i would give you 100 on the score but can only do 5 so you will have to times it by 20. Take care, keep up the good work and hope to see you (Mario)again soon. - 81.86.144.101) | 20 Feb 05 | |
| I came away from the theatre totally bored and thinking what a waste of time and money. It was only the last 15 minutes that had any entertainment value. It was a shame as the cast obviously tried very hard with a depressing set and terrible script. - 212.57.240.141) | 16 Jan 05 | |

| From Mrs San Pietro, Vancouver BC Canada My family loved this, especially my husband. I thought the guy playing Elvis was a bit overweight and didn't really act all that well but I loved the little guy called Gilz Terrera. What a star. - USER: Whatsonstage.com (212.137.34.25) | 03 Aug 04 | |

| I understand it's not going to be for everybody's tastes. I thought it may be to mine, but it wasn't, unfortunately. Don't let me stop you seeing it, though! - USER: Whatsonstage.com (62.254.0.34) | 16 Jul 04 | |
| This Show just keeps getting better, ive just seen it for the third time,(twice in Manchester). Its a great show with a very talented cast. And with 'MARIO'(who has a huge talent) playing the lead it cant go wrong. As usual he had us all up on our feet for the finale, clapping, singing and having a great time.(standing ovation again) I hope it has a very long stay ,I will be coming back again and again.... A big thank you to Mario and all the cast for putting on such a brilliant show. Well Done.(i would give it a 10 if there was one.) Also whats happened to the comments on this site they seem to have faded away recantly and I Love to read them as im sure others do. - USER: Whatsonstage.com (81.76.50.254) | 04 Jul 04 | |
| It would be a 6 ! if there was one. Do not do anything else but see this superb show. Mario Kombou plays Vince & is excellent, considering this is his West End debut - critics lay off !!! He will be there for some time. ENJOY IT ... INDEED YOU WILL - USER: Whatsonstage.com (195.93.34.14) | 25 Jun 04 | |
| I was very disappointed with Tonight's the Night so wasn't sure how this would fare but I loved it, as did my four friends one of whom is normally very hard to please. Great music great acting and great fun - go and see it - USER: Whatsonstage.com (193.39.182.251) | 30 Apr 04 | |
| I Loved It too!!! - USER: Whatsonstage.com (81.128.104.94) | 23 Apr 04 | |
| I went expecting to hate it but my girlfriend is a big time Elvis fan so what can you do? Anyhow, after a slow start it picks up nicely and, at the end, me and about 1000 ladies of a certain age were bopping away. knickers were thrown on stage and fun was had by all. It is as cheesy as one of Elvis' old movies but the punters loved it and so did I. - USER: Whatsonstage.com (62.244.178.194) | 22 Apr 04 | |
| Fantastic show. Wonderful musician ship and some fantastic acting from Roger Alborough and Gilz Terrera. The music is wonderful and takes us on a journey through gospel, country and to rock and roll. Highly recommended for all age groups. - USER: Whatsonstage.com (62.171.198.8) | 21 Apr 04 | |
| God no one writes new musicals any more, you would never catch this crap on Broadway. - USER: Whatsonstage.com (217.13.129.151) | 21 Apr 04 | |
| I wasn't really expecting much from this show - thought it would be a bit tacky and cash in on the Elvis fanbase, but I was amazed at the quality of the whole show. This is not a 'tribute' show, this is real musical theatre, and done brilliantly. Well done to all the cast, extremely talented, versatile performers who put all their energy into making this a great visit to the theatre. Go see it! - USER: Whatsonstage.com (195.93.34.14) | 21 Apr 04 | |
| It's about time there was something in west end for all walks of life. Faboulous show, I hope it runs and runs. I've already booked my second visit. A must see! - USER: Whatsonstage.com (193.195.117.106) | 20 Apr 04 | |

| crap please avoid. - USER: Whatsonstage.com (217.13.129.151) | 20 Apr 04 | |
| Sorry, but this is just a rehash of Buddy. A strong first half with some great vocal performances trails away into an overly wordy second half which just about rescues itself with a big finish. Enjoy the first half then have a kip and get someone to give you a shake when the finale kicks off. - USER: Whatsonstage.com (152.163.252.227) | 19 Apr 04 | |
| I disagree with April 14. Compared to recent crap musicals - this one has a story and characters that I really cared about. Additionally the style of show is unique and the musicianship wonderful. I loved it and will be going back with my friends !!!! Congrats to all involved and I wish you all the best for next week's opening. - USER: Whatsonstage.com (212.18.227.187) | 15 Apr 04 | |
| Blimey - I'm in a minority. Totally contrived, rushed and meaningless dialogue and a story-line that is too bad to be true. Saved by the music and the little black guy (whi is a real star). In fairness, my neighbour marked it 9.5 out of 10, so it is probably me - but I thought it was naff. - USER: Whatsonstage.com (62.255.32.5) | 14 Apr 04 | |
| Who cares that the song isn't there !! This show is brilliant, even without it. Mario Kombou is great and Gilz Terera is amazing. Great music, great performances, great show !! I'll be going again for sure. - USER: Whatsonstage.com (212.140.120.194) | 01 Apr 04 | |
| Wonderful show!! Worth seeing for the set. Great performance by very talented cast - Mario is excellent as Vince. Great direction and great staging brought to life by choreographer. As a fan of the film I expected to by disappointed by the stage adaptation but I couldn't have been more wrong. Really wonderful - go see it!! - USER: Whatsonstage.com (213.1.45.6) | 31 Mar 04 | |
| I saw a preview of JAILHOUSE ROCK at the Piccadilly tonight and it's truly wonderful. Thank God, at last, there is a quality musical for people to enjoy. I hope it has a long and healthy run in the West End. - USER: Whatsonstage.com (82.69.37.108) | 31 Mar 04 | |
| WOW!! Saw the show tonight and was thrilled. At last - a musical with heart and an amazingly talented cast who can seemingly do everything from playing mulit-instruments to singing and dancing. A GREAT night out!!!! - USER: Whatsonstage.com (212.140.155.116) | 31 Mar 04 | |
| Saw this on the opening night at the Piccadilly Theatre and thoroughly enjoyed every minute as did the rest of the audience. I would have given it 5 stars but they don't sing Jailhouse Rock - what a disappointment! - USER: Whatsonstage.com (217.44.34.234) | 30 Mar 04 | |

| A show to be enjoyed by all music lovers, a great comination of Blues, Gospel and of course Rock and Roll, that will have you dancing in your seats. - USER: Whatsonstage.com (213.86.144.25) | 27 Mar 04 | |
| Stomp meets Buddy bit slow and stuttery in places but nothing that can't be fixed I love junk funk anyway and this didn';t disappoint - standing ovation (not from me) in Plymout, worth a look particularly if they up the pace and down the gloom in the first two-thirds! - USER: Whatsonstage.com (82.69.37.108) | 08 Mar 04 |
