| One word....FABULOUS!! Elaine C. Smith has was excellent as Susan, and has a wonderful singing voice. The whole cast were great and the evening was made even better when Susan appeared on stage. It was magical. - Lynsey Ross | 05 Oct 12 | |
| Great show! If Elaine C smith does not get an award from BAFTA then a great injustice will have been done. But hey it's London that decides and if it does not play there - it does not EXIST! - robert | 30 Sep 12 | |
| I am Brazilian and I went to see the wonderful musical in Inverness three times. I was delighted with Susan and the entire cast, especially Elaine Smith, who is magnificent. There are beautiful moments, like the one where they sing three different songs in perfect harmonia.O appears when Susan is a true bliss. Increasingly desire succeed. . I intend to return to review. Success for all. Maria Carvalho - Maria Carvalho | 29 Sep 12 | |
| A must see for anyone who enjoys brilliant theatre! This musical has it all, something for everyone! I laughed, I cried, I danced in my seat, I shuddered inside. What a beautifully moving and inspirational experience with an incredibly talented cast, perfectly selected songs that punctuate the various cleverly-written scenes, and a minimalistic setting that further enhances the message of the power of dream when one has the determination to seek it against all odds! I love IDAD the Musical, Susan Boyle, Elaine C Smith and all who had a hand in sharing this poignant story that revitalizes my will to stay the course…thank you! - Linda in southern California | 26 Sep 12 | |
| I came from the US for the opening of the show in Newcastle and was enchanted with the show and the performances, especially that of Elaine C Smith as Susan Boyle. I will be coming to Glasgow in October to see the final show in this tour, but I am positive it will not be the final showing of this delightful and inspiring play. I am an avid fan of Susan Boyle, but one does not need to be to enjoy this excellent piece of theater. I agree with the writer that it is indeed more a play with music. I have been an avid theater goer for years and for a bio musical play, I Dreamed a Dream is as good as it gets. - carol@hotmail.com | 26 Sep 12 | |
| I made a special trip from Canada to Newcastle to see this play and only regretted that I didn't have extra tickets to see it again and again. The play was wonderful, Elaine was wonderful, and the icing on the cake was Susan appearing at the end. I hope it comes to the U.S. where I can see it again. If it doesn't, I will have my beautiful memories. - doris Buck | 26 Sep 12 | |
| Have seen it three times and can't wait to see it again when it comes to the US. Elaine and the entire cast are just fabulous and Susan is magic. She has such a connection with the audience that is really astounbding. Don't miss this one! - Betty Adams | 26 Sep 12 | |
| I have seen it twice, once in Aberdeen and once in Birmingham. Both times I am not ashamed to say, I cried. It is an honest and very moving portrayal of a woman who, despite her star status, has never lost sight of her roots. Elaine C Smith is 'pure dead brilliant' and the rest of the cast superb. A must see show. Will be there again, Saturday! - Stevieboy49 | 26 Sep 12 | |

| I went to see I dreamed a dream at the Festival Theatre on Sat 22nd September and I was not disappointed. It was a very honest and moving portrayal of the life of Susan Boyle and Elaine C Smith was fantastic at both acting and narrating this role. Standing ovations all round at the end and then Susan Boyle herself appeared and sang two songs to rapturous applause from the audience. All this at a Matinee show. Fantastic! I would recommend this show to anyone . - Janie Kelly | 23 Sep 12 |
