Black Watch (Barbican Centre, West End)

| A truly enthralling piece of theatre. Actors becoming the characters they are portraying. After a very short time I began to think I was watching a bunch of squaddies in action. It is a thought provoking play with moments of heart achingly true humour - how to face adversity...laugh in its face, that must be the motto of the Black Watch. The National Theatre of Scotland have turned in a fine production which will, no doubt, be back on tour again soon. - rds | 26 Jan 11 | |
| What an incredible piece of theatre. Very moving, thought provoking theatre which really underlined the strength of togetherness and solidarity among our troops. A highly technical, physical piece of theatre served well by the excellent soundtrack and specially configured Barbican Theatre. A must see theatre experience. - Paul Wallis | 23 Dec 10 |
