starstarstarWhere have Sue Kelvin and Michael Roulsten been hiding ? Two brilliant, versatile performers with immense stage presence, captivate the audience from the first note. Clever intermingling of narrative with song lyrics unroll her (expurgated) life story, especially in the first act. A few unnecessary coarse quips - not in the Mae West class - spoil our affection but only momentarily. A little Sophie Tucker - and there's a lot of her - goes a long way and there's plenty of her to deliver. Hilarious and nostalgic vaudevillean pleasure.
