| Amazingly acted by the ensemble cast, a strong play still relevant today. One can still feel the playwright's anger, surprising (and depressing) how little has changed since it was written. Simple but effective staging, even some blues and dancing thrown in. A top-notch evening out, highly recommended. Nice to see some decent plays to make you leave the theatre thinking and talking about the subject (this and Yellowman last month). Trust the fringe theatres to show the west end how to do it, once again. Transer please! Deserves to be seen. - USER: Whatsonstage.com (213.122.46.242) | 28 Jun 04 | |
| A wonderful play well presented, the drama bringing into sharp relief the struggles faced in a multi racial society that now are hidden but once were proudly displayed as a badge of honor. The cast performed well and the direction allowed the words to portray a reality that few today can truly understand. A wonderful show, although some actors could do better in thier monologues allowing their accents to slip. - USER: Whatsonstage.com (81.86.133.99) | 20 Jun 04 |
