starstarIrritating and dull. The odd line sparkles but every character seems so insular and glib. Very disappointing. - addicted to theatre20 Apr 10
star would rather thrust oriental dissemboweling cutlasses and red hot knitting needles into the loving eyes of my pet dog than sit through interminable, abject and inadaquate performance. A group of blind, deaf, mute pigeons would have received my glowing praise when set against your tawdry effort. - Year 12 NSB - USER: Whatsonstage.com (80.41.138.30)15 Jun 04

starstarstarstarstarI may not be a connoisseur of stage dramas, but I have read the previous reviews, and can’t help wondering if they were taken under protest to see the show. I went to see it on 17th feb and was impressed with the simplicity of the set and the portrayal of the story. Joe Mcgann was excellent as the simple-minded Lennie. Andrew Scholfield portrayed his character with feeling. The audience laughed at Lennies antics but also felt his hurt and misunderstanding. Due to the ovation given at the end I have to assume that the rest of the audience agreed with me, that this tale was well orchestrated from the scenery to the characters.
