| Applause was definitely not orchestrated. This review is very poor. Anyone could write it - what are the writer's credentials? Did ROH give him free stalls seats to do it? If so, disgraceful. Florez, too much forte? Next thing he'll be telling us is thst Giordani sings too softly. - liz | 08 Jul 09 | |
| Pity about the slightly cynical criticism! A totally fantastic production of the highest order.Divine singing, fine comic acting,a brilliantly simplistic set and amazing costumes. And the orchestra playing at top level.Do anything to get there! - Jennie G. | 08 Jul 09 | |
| I was there too. It's a long time since a production, but especially the singing, has given me such joy and physical excitement. What a superb team! I too didn't understand the reference to "orchestrated" applause. From where I was sitting it was spontaneous, extremely enthusiastic and very well-deserved ! - NicholasT | 06 Jul 09 | |
| I was there; the applause was most definitely NOT orchestrated but a spontaneous expression of heartfelt appreciation. - Jacky T | 06 Jul 09 |
