| This would have had five stars but for one thing. Patsy Kensit. Why, oh why did anyone see fit to put this travesty of an actress on stage? The rest of the cast gave great performances, but the production dips noticeably the second Kensit comes on stage. | Ugh! Why did anyone bother with this tired,stale, belongs in a seaside town dross? I can confirm it was not worth paying west end prices to see this less than average farce. Nigel Havers was bland and why anyone casts Patsy Kensit in anything is beyond me.The productions saving grace (and why it hasnt got one star) is in the form of two actors, Ardal O Hanlon and Geoferry Hutchings. Hanlon proves to be a very good stage performer and is excellent as the slightly off centre guest and Hutchings is simply a brilliant actor, who brings his much needed skill to this dire piece. I have thought recently that the quality of the west end is going down and this proves it! One more thing, the play lasts for around 80 minutes and yet there is an intervel! | Good, witty, belly-laughing comedy with ample nuances and twists, and thankfully never stoops to slap-stick. Havers and O'Hanlon (especially) perfectly cast. Ryecart and Royale also very good in minor roles. Patsy Kensit though wastes her role as the nymphomaniac mistress: husky voice didn't project beyond the second row of the stalls, all the acting skills of the paintings on the walls of the set, and even less on-stage chemistry with Havers. | its a terrible show. Nigel havers walks around flicking his hair, looking pleased with himself, forgetting to 'act' and the mainly moist middle aged female audience titters at each unfunny moment.
