starstarstarstarstar“And miss all the fun?” Lee Ryan’s character Stuart questions co-worker Mel, played by Lucy Benjamin. Which is what must have happened with the author of this review- missed all the fun and talent.I’m not quite sure if Kate and I saw the same show. I think the play was amazing and I developed a completely new respect for all the actors-and singer Lee Ryan. Manoe’s- The Pretender Agenda definitely fills the spot of one of the best plays that this theatre-enthusiast has ever seen. The cast, full of surprises, takes the after-work banter to a new level with genuine acting and cast chemistry that is becoming more and more difficult to find on the West End. The media company, employing the seven individuals, was more than appealing. I left the theatre ready to quit my current job in hopes to find one in a similar media organization. Drama, drama, drama I felt like I was watching one of my favorite soaps in real life. However, unlike my soaps, there was substance to the plot and characters. With an ENDING that ONLY this cast could have executed. I would more than refer this play to anyone, I would even take the author of this off point play review, Kate Jackson back to the theatre to find the ‘marks’ that weren’t off- but simply missed by her. Everyone GO and check it out.  - Lauren Cole02 Sep 08
