| Frightful rubbish, for the most part. The script is nothing more than a few dribbled writing exercises, riffing around alliteration and repetition. There isn't an idea on stage that you haven't already read in the publicity blurb. It is obvious that the Royal Court is no more than a Disneyland for the privileged, cheap theatre trips into other people's misery. They only last about an hour - plenty of time for a plush restaurant. The only saving grace were the actors playing the older couple. I bet they regret they took this rubbish. - 81.158.224.87) | 22 Apr 05 | |
| Great great and great best production of the year must be the influnce of Cole Edwards - 80.3.0.44) | 22 Apr 05 | |
| Faultless. This is an intensely poetic piece which in short powerful scenes conveys a lifetime's experience. The acting and direction are simply beyond praise. Congratulations to all concerned. - 80.177.231.164) | 19 Apr 05 | |
| A truly great performance from all of the cast .But an amazing kick off date as the first show was on the day Cole Edwards' cheese string advert appeared on your televisions - 81.156.180.210) | 12 Apr 05 | |
| Supberb! One of the best plays i have seen in a long time. Acted fantastically all round, especially by Cole Edwards, Alan Williams, Claire-Louise and Claire Rushbrook. Don't miss it! - 80.3.0.44) | 10 Apr 05 | |
| A play of intense yet funny dialogue almost masks the question 'what if this were to happen here ?'. Debbie Tucker Green skilfully manages to get you to ask this question in a dramatic scene. Some great performances from a cultured cast include a sparkling debut from newcomer Cole Edwards as the child soldier. A must see ! (Fur) - 212.84.182.64) | 07 Apr 05 |
