 | For me the Oct 12 matinee was a 5 even with four or five understudies. I thought Nick Hayes, though not quite the gymnast that Derek Hough is, was an even more perfect fit for the Ren role. The performance was so energetic that after intermission, those next to me in the front row retreated for the expressed purpose of 'staying dry'. Shows like this are the main magnet that brings me flying across the Atlantic several times a year. | With Derek Hough as Red 10 out of 10. Once he left the show just wasnt the same, as the person below me has said "it lost its spark" ! Dont agree about David Essex though, i did not enjoy him as the Reverend. Not a bad voice but a terrible actor - Michelle | 01 Aug 07 |
