starstarI felt I was watching an succession of impressions. David Brent and Alison Steadman with a spitting Image Scotsman thrown in for good/bad measure. The dialogue was tedious and going nowhere. What is the point I kept thinking? Fortunately I was relieved of having to sit through the second act due to the indisposition of one of the cast members ..... perhaps they'd had enough of it too? The Bush well off form. - rds19 Feb 10

starstarstarstarstarI loved it. As a mother of small wild little kids and totally being able to identify with the crises at hand - it really had me thinking. Couple of belly laughs too! - 80.195.176.11)24 Feb 06
starstarstarstarThoroughly enjoyable with several truly funny lines). You can see the writer's TV experience in the play. Terrific cast - with Niamh Cusack in particularly fine form. The person next to me said to her friend at the end "I thought we came to the theatre to get away from all that" - which just goes to show how well observed this is, sometimes uncomfortably so. Definitely worth seeing. - 62.252.0.10)30 Jan 06

starstarstarstarstarIn 25 years of regular Bush going, I consider this to be amongst the best plays / productions this wonderful theatre has given us. It is a superb piece of writing with fascinating character development, crackling dialogue and unpredictable turns. The performances are uniformly excellent, with the two adults playing children providing particularly accurate observations of child behaviour. In the small Bush space, on a very well designed set, the intimacy contributes much to the experience. An absolute treat ! - 81.134.196.124)03 May 05
