The Tempest (Roundhouse, West End)

| I have to take issue with those critics, yours included, who have lauded this production. First, minor grumble out of the way. Those buying a promenade ticket at £15 should be advised they will be standing or sitting on a hard floor for the best part of three hours or more dodging actors emerging from outside the round, a rip off I feel. This is while a third of the seats are empty. I'd advise getting into an empty seat after the interval. On the production itself tho', Storrey lacks range, Ariel and Stephano at times lack any real variety of intonation, and the production, despite some imaginative staging, lacked real magic. - USER: Whatsonstage.com | 09 Jun 02 | |
| I thought Miranda and Prospero couldn't've been cast much better - USER: Whatsonstage.com | 22 May 02 | |
| I think the word the moron who added his (mercifully) brief review is looking for is 'powerfully' - it's an adverb you see. Stick to Ben Elton and Lloyd Webber. - USER: Whatsonstage.com | 17 May 02 | |
| This play is very poor and badly represented. Miranda is too old and ugly and Prospero should act more powerful - USER: Whatsonstage.com | 15 May 02 |
