 | Went Sat 19th with three friends, we left before the second half. Paid £37.50 a ticket. I actually fell asleep. The lead roles were boring,stiff and the accents were terrible, heard better voices in the horse shoe bar on a sat night. Sorry but save your money, i wish we did. - Alison, | 20 Nov 11 |
| what a disappiontment! There was no chemistry at all between the lead characters and at one point my Mother nearly dropped off. Embarrassing to watch at times ,acting poor, Emile made of wood,second lead singer much, much better with a beautiful voice. | south pacific is my favourite musical of all time and I was so disappointed with this performance.Samantha Womack and all the other main players were just not believable-all for too old and lacked any credibility especially the guy who played Emile. Singing ok but the acting was wooden and at some points like a farce particularly the two very elderly American officers. | Had this been an amateur show I would have left the theatre feeling that the cast had given it a good go and that the leads did well for people who have a day job. For a professional show however, this production comes up well short of acceptable. | One of the most bland and boring productions I have ever had the misfortune to see. Had one of our threesome not been late back into her seat after the interval, we all agreed we would have exited the theatre and not bothered with the second half (which was only slightly more bearable as it was 45 minutes shorter than the first). - Bob Little | 12 Nov 11 |
