| An absolutely delightful gem. Brilliant, vibrant, loved every minute. I especially liked the Squire George Touchwood, very funny! - Sarah Morris | 29 Sep 11 | |
| Brilliant play! Excellent acting and fantastic direction. Highly recommended! - AR | 28 Sep 11 | |
| This is by far the best play I have seen this year and it wipes the floor with the two plays I have seen at the globe effortlessly. The direction and acting was superb and the characters well rounded. A true joy. Such a shame it took more than 100 years until it was revived and I sincerely hope that this wll get an additional run. For those who have an evening free until october first - run and see this!!! - cdeb | 28 Sep 11 | |
| If you had a chance to see the Southwark Playhouse production of The Rivals last year, you will love The Belle's Strategem. Full of vim and vigour, humour and great energy; it genuinely looked as if all the cast were having fun. Great performances all round but the women in particular were outstanding. Highlights for me were Maggie Steed, Jackie Clune and Gina Beck. You must go and see it! - Jack | 25 Sep 11 | |
| I went to see The Belle's Strategem on Friday and loved it so much went to see it again on Saturday. Witty, sparkling and despite being 200 years old, thoroughly modern. Miss this and regret it. Wonderful! - Finn | 14 Sep 11 | |
| I saw this on Saturday and absolutely loved it. The cast is all excellent and it is a piece that thouroughly deserves to be seen. - Mathew Westwood | 13 Sep 11 | |
| Enter into the experience as one of a team of volunteers to work with families, youth or drug rehab and you find yourself caught up in the lives of families living in this cut off area of London. Once the characters are introduced through a short series of interviews that we are witness to we are plunged into the underworld as head off into the vaults and witness site specific scenes in which we are invited to comment and make suggestions. A unique piece of well researched and written interactive theatre. - Dave J | 15 Apr 10 |
